***Flooding problems will continue this afternoon and tonight***

***ALL of East Texas is under a Flash Flood Watch through Thursday***

Rain chances remain quite high through late week. Most of East Texas is forecasted to see 4-7 inches, but eastern and southeastern areas will receive over 9 inches (perhaps higher).

Flash Flooding is the #1 threat for us, and then severe weather second.

Please be weather aware for the week ahead. Rain lingers through about Saturday.

EAST TEXAS WEATHER FORECAST:

TODAY:  Very heavy rain and thunderstorms…100% chance. Flooding is likely, as well as the threat of strong/severe storms, especially Deep East Texas…High 68…Winds ENE 15 mph. Winds stronger near thunderstorms.

TONIGHT: Rain and thunderstorms continue…Low 60.  Wind ENE 10 mph.

THURSDAY:  Cloudy with more periods of heavy rain and a few t-storms, especially in the morning…Chance at 70%. Temperatures:   High 68…Winds E/SE 15 mph.

FRIDAY:  Rain lingers…Chance of rain at 60%. Temperatures:  Low 58,  High 71…Winds ENE 10 mph.

SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy. A 40% chance of lingering showers. Low: 56. High: 71. Winds: WSW 10 mph.

SUNDAY: Decreasing clouds, and sunshine FINALLY returning. Just a 10% chance of a shower with an approaching cold front. Warm and breezy. Low: 55. High: 75. Winds: SW, becoming West 15 mph.

MONDAY: Sunny and very warm. Low: 50. High: 78. Winds: West/Southwest 5 mph.

TUESDAY: Mostly sunny skies. Warmer, humid, and breezy. Low: 56. High: 80. Winds: SSE 10 mph.
