Rain and thunderstorms will be likely this afternoon and evening. The severe threat is increasing, and you’ll need to stay weather aware. Thus, an East Texas Storm Team Severe Weather Alert Day has been declared.

A Tornado Watch is in effect until 5 PM today for these counties: Henderson, Hopkins, Rains, & Van Zandt. 

A Tornado Watch is in effect until 8 PM for these counties: Anderson, Camp, Cass, Franklin, Gregg, Harrison, Houston, Marion, Morris, Smith, Titus, Upshur, & Wood.

Here is the current severe weather outlook. We are in an Enhanced Risk, meaning that numerous severe storms will be possible. There is the possibility that a Moderate Risk could be issued, which will only amplify the severe threat.
