Thursday Night Forecast: Few showers & storms through night, sunshine returning on Friday

East Texas Storm Team Forecast:

OVERNIGHT: Periods of rain gradually ending into Friday morning and shifting south. A few thunderstorms still possible. Colder by morning. Lows: middle to upper 40s and near 50. Winds: North 10-15 mph, making it feel like the 30s!

FRIDAY: Rain ending early in the morning (30%), becoming partly sunny during the afternoon. Windy and chilly. Highs in the middle 50s. Winds: North 15-20 mph.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear and cold. Evening temperatures in the middle to lower 40s. Overnight and into Saturday morning, patchy frost and a light freeze possible. Low temperatures will range from near 30 in northern areas to 32-36 in Central areas (including Tyler and Longview) to 34-38 in Deep East Texas. Winds: NE 5 mph.

SATURDAY: Increasing clouds. Patchy drizzle to a light shower possible, chances at 20%. Highs: upper 40s to near 50. Winds: NE 10 mph.

SUNDAY: Cloudy and cold with periods of rain increasing, especially for the evening and night hours (40% to 60%). Low 42, High 46. Winds: East 10 mph.

MONDAY: Windy and becoming colder with periods of rain (70%). Temperatures will fall from the 40s into the upper 30s by evening. Winds: NNE 15-20 mph.

TUESDAY: Clouds clearing out and a light freeze by morning. Lows: upper 20s to lower 30s. Mostly sunny during the day and cold. Highs: middle 40s to near 50. Winds: North 15-20 mph.

WEDNESDAY: A solid freeze early in the morning. Lows: 24-29. Sunny and milder in the afternoon. High 55. Winds: North, turn SE 5 mph.

THURSDAY: Mostly sunny skies and a tad milder toward afternoon. Low: 33. High: 61. Winds: South 10 mph.
