***A break in the organized rain for now…Additional rain and a few thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening***

***Flash flood warnings are in effect for Deep East Texas counties through early to mid afternoon***

***Most of East Texas is under a Flash Flood Watch through part of Friday***

Most of East Texas is forecasted to see 4-8 inches, but eastern and southeastern areas will receive over 9-10 inches (perhaps higher).

Flash Flooding is the #1 threat for us, and then severe weather second.

Please be weather aware for the week ahead. Rain lingers through about Saturday.


TODAY:  Mainly cloudy with a few additional showers and thunderstorms…Some storms in Deep East Texas could be strong. High 68…Winds E/NE 15 mph.

TONIGHT:  Showers, cloudy & cool. Low: 61. Winds: E 5-10 mph.

FRIDAY:  Rain lingers…Chance of rain at 70%. High 72…Winds E/SE 10 mph.

SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy. A 40% chance of lingering showers and maybe a few thunderstorms. Low: 58. High: 71. Winds: SE 5-10 mph.

SUNDAY: Decreasing clouds, and sunshine FINALLY returning. Just a 20% chance of a shower with an approaching cold front. Warm and breezy. Low: 56. High: 76. Winds: SSW, becoming West 15 mph.

MONDAY: Sunny and very warm. Low: 50. High: 80. Winds: SSW 10 mph.

TUESDAY: Mostly sunny skies. Warmer, humid, and breezy. Low: 59. High: 81. Winds: SSW 15 mph.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy & muggy. Breezy. Low: 63. High: 78. Winds: SSW 10 mph.
