TYLER, Texas (KETK) -- To say the Milton family has had an impact at Bishop Gorman, is an understatement.
Reverend Jerome Milton, a highly decorated former coach, continues to help student athletes reach the college level.
Now four of his sons are major components of the Crusader football team, and they have an interesting way of making an influence.
Three juniors, although not of the same age, are all returning starters for the Cru, with Jeremiah at running back, Isaiah at linebacker and Emmanuel at corner.
In addition, their older brother Ethan is an assistant for coach Randy McFarlin and he coaches Jeremiah with the rest of the running backs.
Jeremiah combined for nearly 800 total yards from scrimmage last season, and could take a lot of pressure off all-state quarterback Jake Smith, but McFarlin hopes Isaiah and Emmanuel can help change a mind-set on the other side of the ball, as they change to an even-front defensively.
Gorman scrimmages Union Grove at home on Friday August 17th at 6:00 p.m. They open the regular season against Garrison on Saturday, September 1st, in the final game of the annual Tyler Football Classic at Grace Community's Clyde-Perkins Stadium in Tyler.
