Kilgore College snaps Apache Ladies’ 12-game winning streak

KILGORE — When the two hottest teams in the Region XIV Conference — teams who also happen to be longtime rivals — hooked up on Saturday, it was a given free throws would play a key part in the game.

The Tyler Apache Ladies found out the hard way that sending Emely Rosario to the line in a close game is a bad idea.

Rosario, who struggled to find her shot from the floor for most of the night, hit 6 of 7 free throws in the final 2:01, leading the Kilgore College Lady Rangers to a 72-65 win over Tyler in a key conference game at Masters Gymnasium.
