Experienced Arp has lofty goals for 2016

Sports

The Arp Tigers turned 2015 from a struggle to another deep playoff run reaching the Class 3A Division 2 Regional semifinals after enduring a five-game losing streak midway through the season.  The 21 seniors that return from that team are ready to accomplish a lot more this year.

Watch the video to see KETK Sports Director Mike Alzamora’s preview of the Tigers who have 16 starters back including SMU pledge Kayce Medlock and junior Demarvion Overshown, who’s moving from defensive line to safety and is expected to be Arp’s top receiving threat offensively.  Head Coach Dale Irwin, who enters his 17th year at Arp, is very high on Overshown, who is an honor student, and Irwin believes he’s one of the best athletes in East Texas.
