Zurvita Ministries aims to feed 500 people in Tyler

News
Zurvita Ministries will be preparing 500 meals for people in Tyler. Members from Zurvita and volunteers will gather at The Salvation Army Spencer Building at 10 a.m. Saturday to begin prepping meals.

After food prepping is complete, groups will pass out meals in North Tyler neighborhoods and to the homeless.

“It’s our responsibility as Christians to represent Christ and to help feed people the way he’d feed people,” project coordinator Adriel Thurstun said.

A booklet with four spiritual laws will be given also.

According to Zurvita Ministries, Feed500 is a monthly project that visits at least one city for a one-day celebration. With the assistance of incredible volunteers, we prepare meals for at least 500 strangers. With love in our hearts and food in our hands, we set out to make people smile by meeting two of their most basic needs: food & friends. Our goal is to fill the stomachs and hearts of our new friends; for them to know that they are not alone in the world.
