Democrats have re-taken the House of Representatives

The Associated Press is reporting that the Democrats have taken back the House of Representatives for the first time since 2010. The GOP will now lose it’s complete control of the legislative branch of the federal government. 

The loss of the House was not unexpected for the Republicans, with most polls predicting a Democratic victory. The Senate, including Cruz-O’Rourke, is still too close to call. 

The main significance is that all finance bills are now in control of House Democrats. Over the last two years, even with GOP control, the government saw two shutdowns over budget disputes. With the
