Tyler police have identified the victim and suspect in a Friday afternoon stabbing.
According to police, at 3:01 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 5200 block of South Broadway on an alleged attack.
The victim, who was identified as Tracey Harris, had been stabbed in the chest, allegedly by Pamesha Brown. She was still on scene when authorities arrived.
Investigators determined the incident stemmed from a verbal argument in the parking lot. Brown allegedly tried to cut a tire on Harris’ vehicle and he intervened. That’s when the suspect allegedly stabbed Harris in the chest.
Harris was taken to a local hospital for non life-threatening injuries. Brown was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
