Train derailment on CR 2153 in Troup

A KETK crew is at the scene of a Union Pacific train derailment on County Road 2153  next to Anthony Chip Mill in Troup.

No injuries have been reported.

According to Union Pacific Railroad, the train hit a washout spot Sunday morning around 8 a.m.  Seventeen cars were derailed.  

The train was carrying cargo containers, and Union Pacific said no hazardous material was involved.

It is all contained close to the tracks.  Union Pacific is working to get access to the area.
