Earlier this month we told you about a pair of puppies found in a dumpster in Lufkin.
Those puppies, now named Johnny and June, are battling parvo.
A short while ago the staff noticed the puppies seemed less active than normal, and they weren’t eating.
They tested the puppies for parvo, and the results came back positive.
Johnny and June were immediately brought to the Angelina Animal Hospital.
Friends At Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter started a fundraiser to help the puppies get better.
And so far, we’re told, things are looking good.
“As of right now they are doing better,” said Chad Harris with the Lufkin animal shelter. “They’re eating. they said the female, June, you have to hand-feed her because if you put the food in a bowl she’ll pick the bowl up and just start carrying the bowl around. They said she’s doing a lot better. They said the male, Johnny, he’s doing remarkably better.”
But treatment isn’t cheap.
As Johnny and June continue to fight, you can help them out by donating.
The Angelina Animal Hospital and Friends at Kurth memorial Animal Shelter are accepting cash, checks and credit cards on the puppies’ behalf.
