A West Monroe woman faces Cruelty to the Infirmed charges after holding an electric drill to her mother-in-law’s head.
Deputies spoke with the victim on Thursday who said her 29-year-old daughter-in-law, Krystin Denise Walters, was abusive towards her approximately one month ago.
The victim said Walters held an electric drill to her head and pulled the trigger.
The victim said she was also slapped in the face by Walters.
Walters admitted to deputies about holding the drill to her mother-in-law’s head but said she was “playing around.” Deputies also spoke to a witness who confirmed Walters did hold a drill to the victim’s head and slapped her.
Walters was placed under arrest and transported to OCC.
She was charged with Cruelty to the Infirmed. She also violated probation and faces a CDS charge.
Her bond was set at $15,000.
