The city of Alto has lifted its boil water notice for all water customers on Saturday. The city said water is now safe for drinking.

The city of Alto is expanding its boil water notice to include all residents. On Tuesday the city sent out an urgent notice, placing a boil water notice until further notice, for drinking consumption only.

This comes two days after the city placed a boil water notice for a handful of residents living along Farm Road 752. After a well was compromised Saturday after tornadoes ripped through the area. 

The notice remains until further notice.

ORIGINAL STORY: 

On Sunday, the city of Alto has issued a boil water notice for some residents living along Farm Road 752. The comes one day after two tornadoes ripped through the town.

This is affecting nearly 20 homes in the area. 

Residents should continue to boil water until further notice. 

Drinking water is available at the Alto Fire Department and the Missionary Baptist Church.
