Thursday at about 3 a.m., a drug raid by Henderson County narcotics investigators landed four people in jail for possession of methamphetamine.
The home in the 2900 block of County Road 4911 in Athens was hit by a team of eight investigators and deputies.
Thomas Shayne Henshaw, 46, of Athens faces the most charges.
Henshaw was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving both with an invalid license and driving with previous convictions with an invalid license, and failing to maintain required insurance.
Melody Gail Smith, 56, of Athens was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
Damon Ray Party, 45, and Amy Dyanne Dunn, 35, both also from Athens were charged with possession.
District Judge Scott McKee signed the search warrant in the wee hours of the morning for narcotics investigators, Wayne Nutt and Kenneth Slaton.
Sheriff Hillhouse said: “Our drug raids are a team effort and are proving to be one of the most effective tools in the ongoing battle against illegal drugs.”
