SANTA CLARITA, California (KTLA) Two people are dead, a shooter is in custody, and at least 5 others injured after a shooting at a California high school Thursday morning.
Officials were called to Saugus High School Thursday morning, which is about 40 miles north of Los Angeles.
Police say the male suspect got a gun out of his backpack, and proceeded to shoot five people.
One 16-year-old female victim did die after being taken to the hospital.
There are two other female victims, a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old.
Two other males were injured, both 14-years old.
According to the local sheriff, the shooter was taken into custody at a hospital.
During a press conference Thursday afternoon, the FBI said they have no motive for the shooting at this time.
The shooting prompted the temporary lockdown of two entire school district on Thursday morning, authorities said.
