The Martin House Children’s Advocacy Center has expanded. It now has a new medical room at its Longview facility and its first satellite office in Marshall.

“This is a service we can now provide, here at our center for some sexual assault victims, so that children aren’t having to go to the hospital emergency room to be examined,” Roxanne Stevenson, Executive Director, said.

Founded in 2009,  the center serves child abuse victims in Harrison, Marion and Gregg counties. offering children an opportunity to speak and feel safe while receiving free vital services.

A open house and dedication ceremony was held in Longview for the new medical room. Community contributions helped add the room.

The dedication ceremony and open house for the center’s new Marshall site will be 4 p.m. Thursday at the satellite office inside of The Carlile Building, 2615 East End Blvd. South, Suite 270.
