Teachers and nurses free and discounted items end this week, the businesses participating

Since 1984, National PTA has designated one week in May as a special time to honor the men and women who lend their passion and skills to educating our children. 

 The American Nurses Association Board of Directors (ANA), Nurses Week also designate the week to celebrate and elevate the nursing profession. 

The end is soon for discounts and free promotions:

For teachers:

  • Buffalo Wild Wings: Through Friday, teachers, faculty and staff get a 20% off discount when they show a valid school ID. Dine-in only.
  • Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen: Through Friday, teachers dining in can get a free appetizer with the purchase of an adult entree. No coupon is needed.
  • Cotton Patch Café: Teachers who show their teacher ID “or spirit” get 20% through Friday.
  • Sonic is honoring teachers all month long. Starting on Tuesday, educators and “those who appreciate them as much as Sonic does” can receive a free Route 44 drink or slushy with a purchase. The order must be placed on the Sonic app using the promo code TEACHERS.

For nurses:

  • Dairy Queen is offering $2 off on online orders of $10 or more, now through the end of Nurses Week. You need not be a nurse to take part in the offer.
  • Dunkin’ is giving nurses a free 16-ounce iced coffee if they show a medical ID. 
  • Einstein Bros. Bagels:  Get 20 percent off any catering order more than $150 from May 6th through 10th.
  • Cinnabon: Nurses can bring their valid ID to score a free MiniBon Roll or four-pack of BonBites from May 6-11.
  • Giordano’s: Flash your ID at this deep-dish pizza spot for 20% off any dine-in or online orders.
  • McAlister’s Deli: Did someone say free tea? McAlister’s is saying “thank you” to teachers nationwide by offering free sweet tea during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 6th through 10th. Just show a valid teacher ID.
