State of Texas pushes Donald Trump over edge in electoral vote


The State of Texas has officially sent President-elect Donald Trump over the edge in the electoral vote, making him the 45th President of the United States.

The 538 members of the Electoral College gathered Monday to officially cast their ballots.

In the election, Democrat Hillary Clinton won the popular vote, but Trump was able to secure the presidency by winning more than 270 votes.

Trump secured 306 votes to Clinton’s 232.
