The SPCA of East Texas is moving to a new location and is no longer renting a space for weekend adoptions.
They have purchased an old house on Old Bullard Road in Tyler, and after a little makeover, this will be the new Saturday adoption location.
The new building is where dogs are brought to show to the public with the hope of adoption.
The SPCA closed on the house two weeks earlier and is now officially the new owner of this location.
The new house was built over 60 years ago and the community is stepping in to give it a nice little makeover.
“We were able to acquire a piece of property this past week and closed on it so we are no longer renting and what’s really exciting is we’re doing this like an extreme makeover,” said SPCA director Deborah Dobbs.
People from all over the community have stepped up and have donated so much to help this place get moving.
The SPCA is thrilled about the new location and they hope that they can move in some time in April.
