UPDATE: An arrest has just been made on the second gun man who allegedly killed one person and injured six others, after a failed robbery at a San Antonio mall.

Police say two armed men attempted to rob Kay Jewelers in Rolling Oaks Mall Sunday afternoon.

According to authorities, an unarmed man attempted to stop the robbery and was shot and killed. A second man pulled out his concealed weapon and shot one of the alleged robbers.

His condition is unknown.

“It’s absolutely senseless, absolutely senseless,” Chief William McManus of the San Antonio Police Department said. “This is the second time that a good samaritan was killed trying to intervene in a crime to help the victim. It’s absolutely senseless.”

Four other civilians were transported to the hospital with minor injuries according to authorities.  The mall was placed on lock down during a search for the man who ran.
