FBI and Gregg County Sheriff’s Office investigating a bank robbery in Liberty City

GREGG COUNTY, Texas (KETK) – The Gregg County Sheriff’s Office responded to a bank robbery in Liberty City on Friday morning.

The robbery occurred at the First National Bank off FM 1252 and Old Highway 135.

After deputies from Gregg County Sheriff’s office arrived, they set up a perimeter as they began to investigate.

Shortly after, the Criminal Investigation Division arrived as well as the local FBI office out of Tyler.

The Sheriff’s office is looking for a possible white man, about 6-feet tall, wearing a blue or black hat and white lettering. Deputies said he may be wearing denim shirt over a dark-colored hoodie, gloves, jeans and white shoes.
