Store owner puts alleged burglar in headlock

An East Texas store owner took matters into his owns when he caught a burglar in his business.

According to Lufkin Police, at around 12:04 a.m. on Wednesday, the owner caught a young man and another person in his store, First Street Wireless. The owner contacted police and held the suspect in a headlock until officers arrived at the scene.

Authorities arrested Julious Griffin, 17, of Lufkin, and booked him into the Angelina County Jail.

The second person was able to run past the store owner and has not been caught.
