Search efforts continue for possible East Texas drowning victim

The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office along with Texas Parks and Wildlife and the Palestine Fire Department have started the third day of searching Circle R Lake for a possible drowning victim.
 
A 37-year-old white male, a resident of Circle R Lake Community, was last seen Saturday at 9:30 p.m., leaving in his boat to go fishing.

His family received a text at around 11:00 p.m. The sheriff’s office was called and he was reported missing at 9:30 a.m., Sunday morning.
 
The lake was searched Sunday and Monday with no results.

Additional equipment is being brought in to help in the search.

A side scan radar unit with mapping capability will be used to help define underwater structures.
