Police looking for driver in Tyler hit-and-run

The Tyler Police Department is looking for the driver involved in a Monday night hit-and-run.

Police said they received a report at around 7:18 p.m. of an unconscious man in the road on West Gentry Parkway. When officers made it to the scene in the 3200 block of W Gentry, the man was already being treated by EMS.

The victim was identified as Albert Daron, 82, of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Officers found debris from a vehicle, leading them to believe he had been hit by a vehicle while crossing the road.

Daron was unable to tell investigators what happened and a suspect vehicle was nowhere to be seen.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
