Police say a 32-year-old Kilgore woman rammed a man’s truck with her car and then chased it out onto a road before wrecking her vehicle in a field.
According to our newspaper partner, the Longview News-Journal, Cherine Angela White was held Friday on bonds totaling $76,000, charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with a license invalid with previous conviction/suspension without financial restitution and aggravated assault of a date/family/household member with a weapon.
The Gregg County Sheriff’s Office was called about 7:15 p.m. Thursday to the Sabine Elementary School parking lot after a man reported White had tried to ram his truck with her car as he was leaving, according to an arrest report.
The man also reported White followed him, rammed her car into the back of his truck at the intersection of Rice Road and Old Highway 135 and continued chasing him on Old Highway 135 before she wrecked her car in a field near Smallwood Road.
The probable cause report notes two witnesses backed up the man’s story.
