The Kilgore Police Department continues to investigate the disappearance of a pregnant woman who vanished earlier this year.

According to Detective Trey Portwood, there are no new developments in the homicide case of 20-year-old Sheryia Grant. He added they do have leads and expect to make an arrest at some point, however, there is no timetable on an arrest.

Portwood said the multi-jurisdictional case continues to be worked with other agencies across the area.

Grant was about eight months pregnant when she mysteriously went missing on August 20 of this year. Police first publicly stated foul play was suspected in early September.

The victim’s home burned down about a month later, but officials said the incident was not linked to Grant’s disappearance.

No arrests have been made.
