New York explosion: Deliberate Act of Terrorism

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is calling an explosion that rocked a Manhattan neighborhood late Saturday and act of Terrorism.

Authorities are not linking the blast to any international group, but whoever placed the bombs was deliberately trying to destroy lives in New York.

Speaking to the people of New York on Sunday, Governor Cuomo vowed that authorities will catch whoever is responsible for setting off an explosion in Manhattan that left neartly 30 people injured.

This is surveillance video obtained by MSNBC from inside a fitness studio.

You can see glass shattering at the moment of the explosion and people along the sidewalk starting to run.

Authorities believe the blast was caused by an explosive device in or near a dumpster. A few blocks away, investigators also found a pressure cooker with what appeared to be a cell phone duct taped to it.

Less than 24 hours before the New York explosion, a bomb went off in a trash can along the Seaside Park Boardwalk in New Jersey.
