The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC) will be hosting the 1st Cathy’s Project Charity Golf Tournament Monday, September 26.
The event will take place at the Eagle’s Bluff Country Club at 700 Eagles Bluff Boulevard, Texas.
The cost to participate is $350 for a foursome, $100 for an individual, $30 for dinner only and $50 for a dedication flag. Fees include the use of golf carts; a hole-in-one Rolex, sponsored by Susan Robinson Jewelry; a closest-to-the-pine prized, sponsored by BMW of Tyler, longest drive men/women sponsored by Swann’s Furniture and dinner.
Registration will open at noon and the shotgun start will be at 1:00 p.m. Pre-registration for the event is required by September 19.
The event is being held in memory of Cathy VanAntwerp, a longtime golfing member of both Eagle’s Bluff and Emerald Bay Golf Clubs, who fought bravely for over four years and eventually lost her battle with ovarian cancer last July.
Before her passing, Cathy and her husband partnered with the NOCC to launch and Earlier Awareness Initiative.
