An East Texas man was arrested Tuesday evening for allegedly driving drunk with a young child in the vehicle.
According to the Department of Public Safety, at around 7 p.m., troopers pulled over a Jeep on State Highway 103 for a traffic violation. The driver was identified as Robert Wayne Adams, 35, of Pollok.
The trooper at the scene stated Adams performed poorly on field sobriety tests and other sign of intoxication were noticed.
Adams was charged with driving while intoxicated with child passenger due to an unrestrained 5-year-old child in the vehicle. The child was released to a family member.
The driver was booked into the Angelina County Jail
