Keep Nacogdoches Beautiful will be awarding grants to schools in Nacogdoches County.
Around $3,000 total will be awarded to educators.
Applicants can be anyone involved with pre-k up to 12th grade such as teachers, counselors, librarians, principals and so on.
The grant will be for “beautification projects” such as planting trees or gardens, recycling, and waste reduction projects.
“It’s in the budget, it’s been budgeted for a few years to offer grants to educators,” said Katie Blevins, KNB Executive Coordinator. “I would love to get more applicants and more people getting this free money to do projects related to the environment with their students.”
The deadline for applications is November 2nd and the deadline for grants that will be used for an arbor day project is October 1st.
