IDENTITY RELEASED: Woman killed in Tuesday Smith County accident

SMTIH COUNTY, Texas (KETK) - One woman is dead and two others injured in a Tuesday Smith County crash.

Shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday, DPS was called to a two-vehicle crash on Texas Highway 64 East, about 1.5 miles east of Tyler.

A preliminary crash investigation revealed the driver of a Ford Mustang lost control and drove into oncoming traffic.

Kristen Lilly, 19, of Carthage was taken to UT Health Tyler in critical condition.

Maria Torres, 31, of Arp was the driver of the car that was hit.

She and a three-year-old boy were taken to Christus Trinity Mother Francis Hospital-Tyler. Torres was in stable condition. The child was treated and released.

Tia Roland, 19 of Tyler, the passenger in Lilly's vehicle, was taken to UT Health-Tyler where she later died.

The crash remains under investigation.
