East Texas’ sweetheart  and talented musician Kadie Lynn failed Tuesday to make the live finals on “America’s Got Talent.”

Kadie Lynn, 12, of Kemp, was eliminated in the semifinals of season 11 after wowing judges– including the oh-so-critical Siman Cowell –along the way.

Lynn burst onto the scene with the Merle Haggard rendition of “Twinkle, Twinkle Lucky Star.” All judges voted to send her through.

Cowell had some kind words for the young contestant and another performer, Calysta Bevier” who were voted off the show.

“Both of you can walk away from this with your heads held high. You are amazing, amazing contestants, and I don’t say this very often, but to both of you, I genuinely mean this, just keep doing what you’re doing. Learn from this experience, I am really sorry you didn’t make it to the final , but you made it this far, you should be very proud of yourselves, both of you.”

The young star’s final performance was Lee Ann Womack’s “I Hope You Dance.”
