The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office has made more arrests related to the possession of methamphetamine, however, the publicity the office has given to the bust is catching the eye of their community.
Late Friday morning, the Sheriff’s Office posted the drug raid, along with pictures, to Facebook which caught the eye of many citizens.
Why? Signs were placed in the yards of the arrestees.
One sign reads: “SHERIFF HILLHOUSE DRUG HOUSE RAIDED DO NOT REMOVE.”
The other displays: “SHERIFF HILLHOUSE DON’T BE NEXT DO NOT REMOVE.”
Many East Texans left comments showing their public support for the idea.
The signs were put in the ground after deputies and Athens Police officers served warrants at the home in Athens. Suspected meth was located inside the house, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities arrested Jose Rico-Gama and Jonna Heifner. The Sheriff’s Office stated Rico-Gama was found to be in possession of meth. Heifner had outstanding warrants.
