A 5-year-old is credited with saving his toddler brother after a horrific semi accident overnight. The two boys survived, but they had to watch their father burn to death on the North Freeway.
It happened just before 1:30 a.m. in Houston when authorities said a semi hit a guard rail and the driver lost control.
The 18-wheeler, carrying a family of three, a father and two young boys, slammed into a concrete pillar and burst into flames.
The father died in the fire, but the 5-year old pulled his severely burned 2-year-old brother out of the vehicle to safety. Authorities said the family was moving to Galveston when the crash occurred.
Both the boys were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
