Abigail Flores is recovering after an act of kindness.
The Quitman native was having health problems and went to East Texas Medical Center, they determined she needed a specialist and was air-lifted to Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.
The 23 year old mother of two had complete liver failure, doctors believed she only survive a few hours if she did not receive a transplant new liver. Doctors put Flores on the waiting list but finding a matching organ was unlikely.
Brenda Jones, 69, had been on a waiting list for 7 months, but she decided to give the liver to Flores.
Two days later, an organ became available for Jones. Both patients have new livers and recovering.
