ACSO: East Texas woman arrested after being caught with stolen taxidermy items, drugs

LUFKIN, Texas (KETK) - An East Texas woman has been arrested after law enforcement discovered several stolen taxidermy items, drugs and guns  at a residence in Angelina County.

On Tuesday, investigators with the Angelina County Sheriff’s Office recovered several items of stolen taxidermy. This investigation led to a search warrant being served on a residence located in the 200 block of Craft Fenley Loop in Lufkin.

The suspect, identified as Melinda K. Rutledge, 47, was taken into custody and charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance and possession of stolen property.
