ACSO asking community for donations

Local News
A recently hired detective in Angelina County has lately been facing some health problems but the sheriffs department and the community have stepped in to lend a helping hand.

Detective Glenn Blank was previously the chief deputy for the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office and has been with Angelina County since May.

Detective Blank is seriously ill and has been transferred to a Houston hospital for a lung biopsy.

Since Detective Blank is a new employee he does not have any sick-time saved up and he is currently not earning income for his family while in the hospital.

“[Detective Glenn Blank] has spent his entire adult life serving others,” said Lt. Brett Maisel, Angelina County Sheriffs Department. “Glenn is the one who it always doing things for other people but now it is our opportunity to assist Glenn and his family during this trying time.”

Donations may be made for Detective Blank at any Commercial Bank of Texas (CBTx) location or given to Libby Parish at the Angelina County Sheriff’s Office.
