A stomach ache for one teen takes a surprise turn

A teen in Nebraska left school last week with stomach and back pain she thought.

Much to every ones surprise 18-year-old Tylisha Allmon later that day gave birth to a 5 pound baby boy in her home.

Tylisha told WOWT she didn’t’ know she was pregnant and didn’t realize she was in labor.

Tylisha said after she gave birth she wrapped little Zaylen in a blanket and went to find her grandmother who then called 911.

Tylisha and Zaylen were taken to a local hospital by ambulance.

Doctors estimate Zaylen Armani Allmon was born at about 34 weeks. Zaylen is till in the NICU, but family expects to take him home soon.

Tylisha told WOWT she just lost her own mother in January. She wears a necklace with a cross that holds some of her mother’s ashes inside. Tylisha said she felt like her mom was with her making sure Zaylen was okay.

Friends and family have shown support by donating baby clothes and other things this new mother will need.

Tylisha also received a car seat at the hospital to take Zaylen home in when he’s released.
