TUSCOLA, Texas (KRBC) -
Myra Dean was alerted by the barking of her dogs one morning to discover that feral hogs had taken over her property in Tuscola, Texas.
"That was the first time I saw them." Dean says. "Since then, they've been here almost every day."
Dean says she wants them them gone, but to be handled humanely, enlisting the help of local trappers.
Volunteer trappers have a way to catch and relocate the beasts, but the problem may be out of their hands.
"They're a huge problem." Dean says. "When hogs proliferate as fast as they do, and we don't really have a comprehensive plan statewide to get rid of them, we're going to have to do something."
