For the 6th straight year Dallas is hosting the “Annual Climb” on September 10 to honor the fallen victims of the 911 terrorist attack.
Firefighters, law enforcement officers and EMS personnel will come together and challenge themselves to walk 110 flights of stairs in their gear.
That’s how many flights firefighters had to climb on 911.
Longview firefighters who participated last year said it’s a powerful movement.
The Dallas climb is a way of fulfilling the promise to never forget their brothers and sisters who died in the line of duty.
Most climbers wear their personal protective equipment and all climbers wear the name and picture of the hero their climbing for.
