An 18-wheeler accident on I-20 has shut down all eastbound lanes in Harrison County all the way over into Lousiana, according to officials.
According to investigators, the driver “…dozed off and left the roadway. The 18-wheeler struck a guardrail causing the vehicle to flip onto its side.”
Officials did not release the driver’s identity or his condition.
Currently, all eastbound lanes are closed from Hwy. 80 in Harrison County, Texas, to Exit 3 in Caddo Parish. Crews plan to off-load the contents of the 18-wheeler then upright the vehicle.
Road closure updates will be posted to the Caddo Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
The accident remains under investigation.
