1 dead following morning wreck in Tyler

One woman is dead following a morning wreck in Tyler.

Around 9:30 a.m. Tyler police responded to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of E. Douglas boulevard and E. Front street. 

The woman, 92 year old, Claudia Miller, of Tyler, failed to yield the right-of-way while turning left onto Front street.

Her car was struck by a pickup driving eastbound on E. Front street. The driver of the truck was identified as 78 year old William Logan, of Arp.

Miller was taken to a hospital where she died from her injuries. Logan was treated for non-life threatening injuries he received in the carash.

This is the 9th fatal crash within the city limits that Tyler Police has investigated in 2016.  Tyler Police encourage drivers to Be Aware, Look Twice, Slow Down and Don’t Text and Drive.
