Kilgore boys soccer beats Henderson, headed back to the state tournament

The boys soccer regional championship came down to a rivalry showdown at Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium in Tyler on Saturday, Henderson vs. Kilgore.

These two teams split their regular season meetings, and in the playoff matchup, the Lions got on the board first.

But, Kilgore’s Yonatan Contreras, tied it up in the first half, and with less than two minutes left in the second overtime period, he put the Bulldogs on top.

Kilgore is headed back to Georgetown, for another shot at a state championship.
