The Longview Public Library will be open extended hours this weekend from Friday, May 10 through Sunday, May 12, to serve as a cooling shelter for the community who are experiencing power outages and storm damage from Wednesday’s storms.

Hours include from 8:00 am until 8:00 pm and patrons will be able to use computers, use the facilities, read books, and charge devices.

However, all circulation services like checking in and out materials will only be available from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm.

“We’re hoping everything goes back to normal quickly this weekend, but until then, we’re happy to have you at the library! Any questions, please call (903) 237-1350 or message us here!” shared on Facebook by the Longview Library.
