Grace Community School standout three-sport athlete Jordan Tauscher is taking her talents to Kansas State University.
Friday she signed with the Wildcats track and field program to throw the discuss and hammer.
Tauscher has been a three-year state meet medalist for the Lady Cougars.
Interestingly enough, she’s been a wildcat fan growing up, with much of her family attending Kansas State.
“It’s definitely been a dream. I went to go to all the sporting events there. Both of my parents are alumni. So my brother and sister are currently there. So all of my gear and everything has been Kansas State. So it’s always been a dream to go to Kansas State, especially throw. I’m so excited, I like keep thinking about it. You know, last night, I was about to go to bed, and I couldn’t sleep because I was just so excited for this. And I just can’t wait for it to come,” said Tauscher.
The K-State track program is currently one of the best in the country. It is The KSU women are nationally ranked in the top 20. They won the big 12 outdoor track and field championships in 2017 and 2018.
Tauscher also played volleyball and basketball at Grace. She helped the Lady Cougar hoopsters win the 2018 TAPPS 5A State Championship.
