Police have arrested an East Texas man who allegedly shot and killed his son and injured his wife.
At around 9:30 on Wednesday morning, police said Kenny Arness Webster, Jr., was arrested and charged with murder and aggravated assault. He is accused of killing his son, DeAdrian Webster, a student at Pewitt High School.
DeAdrian Webster died Sunday evening.
The suspect remains in the Morris County Jail.
The shooting is under investigation by the Naples Police Department, Texas Rangers and the Morris County District Attorney’s Office.
The Naples Police Department asked for community support.
“This has been a tragic event for the Family and our Community and we ask you to continue to keep them in your prayers.”
A vigil, attended by many, was held for the student on Sunday night at the high school football field.
