An East Texas school district has placed a teacher on leave after allegations of inappropriate conduct.
Zavalla ISD Superintendent Ricky Oliver released the following statement to KETK:
“The safety and welfare of all Zavalla ISD students is the District’s first priority. The District was made aware of allegations of inappropriate communications made by a teacher toward a student on Thursday and placed the educator on administrative leave with pay. The District is working with local authorities to investigate any potential misconduct. The District intends to take appropriate action after completion of a full investigation into the matter.”
Oliver also confirmed the allegations involved misconduct in email communication.
