ETX man arrested after allegedly hitting father with truck

An East Texas man was arrested after allegedly hitting his father with his truck.
 
According to the Lufkin Police Department, Glen Smallwood, Jr., 19, was jailed on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after police say he hit his father with his truck around 3:50 a.m., Tuesday, in the parking lot of Whataburger in the 400 block of North Timberland Drive.
 
Smallwood’s father suffered cuts and scrapes to his arm and lower back after being knocked onto the hood of the truck. Smallwood’s father said his son got mad at him for taking his truck away.
 
Smallwood was arrested at his home after leaving the Whataburger.
 
His bond has not been set.
