Employee has gun held to head during Smith Co. robbery

News

The Smith County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed business robbery for the second day in row.

At about 4 a.m. on Tuesday, deputies responded to a robbery at Big Baby’s Game Room, located in the 13000 block of Spur 364 in western Smith County.

When deputies made it to the scene, an employee told authorities he was cleaning inside after all customers had left when he heard a door open. Before turning around, a gun was placed to the back of the worker’s head.

The gunman then forced the employee into the office where the robber opened the back door and allowed a second person to enter.  Once both robbers were in the room, the employee was made to empty the cash register, along with an envelope containing cash. The bandits finished by ransacking the office looking for more cash.

The robbers are described as black males, one being about 6 feet in height and around 230 pounds wearing a ski mask and all black clothing.  The second man was also wearing all black clothing with a stocking over his head.

The robbers left the location in an unknown direction.

No one was injured during the robbery.

An undisclosed amount of cash was taken in the crime.

Authorities stated the robberies are not believed to be related.

Officials of the Smith County Sheriff’s office are asking help in identifying the suspect or suspects in this robbery. If you have any information regarding this investigation please call the Smith County Sheriff’s Office at 903-566-6600.
